From Dhaka's Quiet to Corporate Transactions

It becomes clear to most people after knowing me for a span that I am one of the luckiest individuals ever to have walked this earth. This is a bit of my story and my journeys that led me to found Merger Waterfall Inc. - a Transactional Quant Solution that is untying knots and easing hearts amidst the storm of activities that is a corporate transaction. 

 

I have been incredibly fortunate from the beginning. I was born the second child of my parents, in an urban area of Bangladesh, to a pair of badass parents who left their village homes and established their lives and families in Dhaka. Having achieved their Feat, these adventurers carried no serious need for outward validation, and we lived largely quiet lives in the cacophonous national capital. My elder sister's sudden and unexpected death was not something I experienced directly, and my parents shielded us from their sorrow, raising me and my younger sister in a safe environment with adequate food and just enough Coca Cola and exposure to dentistry. Yet the fact that my parents had lost a child lent an air of seriousness and focused presence to the time they spent with us—I felt it forged with them a Connection that begins with a capital C and stays long after one or both sides are dead and gone.

 

I am grateful for the incredible fortune of having parents who left us with silence, love, and all the books I could want to travel through time, space, and perspectives. My parents' own sense of fulfillment meant they did not want us to become anything specific and we could love everything human civilization has strived for and achieved. With such support, it would take uncommon efforts to fail; neither my sister nor I managed such uncommon efforts, and we pursued our education in the US, her studying architecture, and my playing with robots.

 

With Nazifa in my party, we took the ship west, mixing metaphors, lives, and adventures, even picking up a few monetizable skills of real value. Corporate America is a great training ground for inexperienced minds to absorb useful skills, if not very gentle on the heart and mind.

 

I founded Merger Waterfall Inc. late 2024, the culmination of years of rumination, practice, imagination, and software prototypes. We had been circling the core challenges of complex transactions for years as our lives became more complex and we gained exposure to bigger deals for larger assets, companies, and dreams.

 

We are inspired by the many enterprising individuals before us who have struck great deals, created valuable partnerships, financed critical ventures, and disrupted old ways to forge new paths. We believe that the same skills of calm diligence, rational decision making, and looking out for all sides to make the next deal is exactly the kind of mindset that the world can benefit from.

 

Merger Waterfall is our calm and diligent answer to the problems that deal makers face in planning, pricing, and executing large and complex corporate transactions (e.g., financing, mergers & acquisitions, restructuring).

 

Luck, it seems, follows our waterfall, and we've found our venture bolstered by new friends bringing the raw talent and quirky badassery needed to be fast without being frantic in an inherently intense field. With alliances forged between creative lawyers and lateral-thinking technologists, we're off to the races helping folks we love and believe in supporting!
